Why Don't Christians Wear their Sunday Best to Church

Why do we see Christians attending church in flip flops and t-shirts and pajama pants? Why do we see young and older women with cleavage and short skirts?  Why aren't we dressing modestly? Why aren't we  covering our heads?  "And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head... for this reason... the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head." 1 COR 11: 5-10. This is in respect to God. This is not submissiveness toward men. It is a shame if we think that; especially women.

We as Christians, as Christian women, need to be more concerned with our outward appearance before the Lord and others. We need to ask ourselves are we dressing as Christ minded people, as people who revere their Creator and submit to His will?  We need to reflect on what we appear to be doing and are doing. For example, we need to ask are we putting ourselves first as in who we are based on what we do (I am a lawyer, I am a CEO, I am a Manager, a Designer, a Politician, I am Dr. so and so), are we putting our body, hair style, jewelry and clothes first as a form of self idolatry, do we put our country first as in being a proud member of a 'civil' religion with its popular culture, are we putting our desires first as in wealth, and including family first as our main source of pride and accomplishment???... Are you doing that?

If others notice this who are outside the Church, why aren't we paying attention to it?
