Our own Wants and Desires make us Slaves to Sin

"...those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants" John 3:21.... not what they want. In our culture, we want to justify our desires/wants based on our relative points of view that everything is love and love sets us free. That is not true. Only Jesus Christ can set you free. You see, Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin." If you continue to sin, you are a slave to sin. Thank God He sent His Son to save us from sin, and in that we are set free. By accepting that truth, we no longer seek sin ..."if the Son sets you free, you will bee free indeed." John 8:36

For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator (Ro. 1:20-26).
