Feelings can control us more than any other aspect of human existence. For women, this is especially true. Our feelings are delicate and complicated. Because of that, they can torment us, control us and make life a burden. That does not have to be. The Lord God knows this about us. That is why, He asks us to Rest in His Presence. To turn over all those feelings to Him. If we don't, we run the risk of usurping His best for us.
As Paul wrote to the Church in Corinth...
"For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort." 2 COR 1: 5-7
