Proverbs 14

Proverbs 14 The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.
What does that mean? We can understand it in this way. There is God's order of things. We as human beings know this intimately, that is why we seek to establish order because we were created in order and know that our creator gave us authority to maintain his order, a hierarchy of authority.  When we live outside of that or try to do better than his order, trying to free ourselves from His authority, we destroy what we have. Remember, firstly in God's order man 'husband's must be accountable to God and women accountable to their husbands.  It is harmful to disrupt this order. We must recognize God's order and obey. This does not mean that it will be a utopia, this is a fallen world we live in. Perhaps, because, of that we think that we have to take control, that God's order of things isn't working. We want to take charge and usurp God's order. Man is also guilty of doing this ... not being accountable to God. When this happens, women feel abandoned and the last stronghold of God's order and so we want to take over man's (husband's) role. In this instance, women are stepping outside of God's order. We want to justify this behavior, living outside of God's order/authority, by claiming that it is our human right. The only human right is God given and the Bible instructs women of the role and position in His order. We have to respect that. Socially engineering what we want based on the notion that we have a right to free ourselves from authority only lets evil in.
Women have a special role and it is to keep order, especially the household order and authority over their family.  Children cannot be allowed to rule themselves and or to be their own authority as if they know what is best for them. We as Christians (men and women) have to realize that God's authority is the best for us. If we turn to Him and accept our position in His authority we will be free indeed.
