Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!

In Luke 1:45-48, we are reminded that Mary is a woman, a mother, and most importantly - a humble servant of God. "Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord’s word to her will be fulfilled". And, in her song, we understand why from now on all generations will call her blessed. Yes, call her blessed and all women as blessed as she (you) who believed (the Lords' word), who recognized the Lord God Jesus Christ as the Savior...

Mary sang, "My soul glorifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!" Here, we fully grasp who He is to his earthly mother - Mary and to all women/mothers. Mary's song is our song! In singing such song, we like Mary give Him all the glory and honor for He who came into the world to save us from sin, He who came in the name of the Lord! For He is the Mighty One, and Holy is His name.…

Mary’s Song

“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me—holy is His name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”

  1. In singing her song, we do not 'worship' Mary. We worship Jesus Christ! Mary worshiped her Savior and we worship Him as she did "my soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior". She had direct access to Him and we do too. We do not pray to Mary or anyone else; and, certainly not to any who have passed from this fallen world into His Kingdom! Holy is His Name!

  2. What are we as women called to do? We are called to be servants of the Lord. "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!" Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise." Proverbs 31: 25-31.
