This is a Fallen World ~ Woe to Those Who Do Right in their Own Eyes!

As Christians we must understand that this is still a fallen 'corrupted' world ~ Genesis 6:11, if you don't then you have a lack of depth in understanding of what it means to be a Christian. Why? Because, Christ died for our sins; and though He did that for us, this is still fallen world. God sent His Son Jesus Christ to come upon the earth to redeem mankind and to resurrect mankind from the sin of death.  Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" ~ Acts 4:12.

Many people think that this world is the world we were created for or that Jesus came and now we live in the New Jerusalem. That is not true as many covenants of the Old Testament and New Testament have yet to be fulfilled. Both work together; concealing Christ and revealing Christ and our true destiny in Him.

In Genesis we read that sin entered in when Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan. And, we also read that since that event, things on earth got really bad for mankind; all of creation was at risk. We understand that God, Jesus Christ, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, of all things seen and unseen could not let Satan have control over His creation, though corrupted by him.

So, God destroyed the world in the time of Noah because of the corruption because of man's sin. What about the flood? Wasn't the world destroyed then because people continually sinned. Did not God at that time wipe out sin once and for all and reboot the system...?

Upon reading the story of Noah, we quickly learn that the flood did not wipe out sin. After the flood, Noah plants a vineyard and makes wine from the grapes he harvested. He became drunk and laid naked in his tent. One of his sons, Ham, happens to come upon him. Instead of being embarrassed for Noah, Ham gloats over Noah's weakness. Instead of trying to help Noah, Ham seeks out his brothers to laugh about his drunken father. However, Shem and Japheth did not find the situation funny. They immediately went to rectify the problem. They even refused to look at Noah in his weakness. They held a garment between them, walked in backwards so they would not see Noah's shameful condition.

Ham's sin was not his looking at his naked father, but what his action implied. Ham gloried in his father's shameful behavior, implying that he resented Noah's authority. We should not glory in another person's sin ~ Galatians 6:1. By Ham's reaction, sin entered in again.

As we read the Bible and learn, it was necessary was for God, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, to enter into this fallen world and to provide a means to overcome this corrupted world in its fallen condition for man alone was unable. God provided (using computer terms) an upgrade- Himself- Jesus Christ the Son of God, who entered in and became the patch in the system whereby man in his faith in the Son could overcome sin. Through Jesus Christ we are overcomers of this world, we are overcomes of the sin of death through Jesus Christ. This fallen world will come to an end once and for all. We who have been born again in Christ will be saved and 'uploaded' to eternal life.

"The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life" ~ 1 John 5:10-12.

"...Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life" ~ 1 Timothy 1:14-16.

Those, especially anyone calling themselves a Christian, who fail to recognize that this is still a fallen world do not fully understand why Christ is the only way to the Father and eternal life. All too often people look around trying to find out who is causing all/their problems in the world. They don't understand why bad things happen. Its because this is still a fallen world. They think that the 'right' man-made law will bring about heaven on earth. They fail as Christians to embrace the fact that they/we are sinners, Christ died for our sin. Why? Because, this is a fallen world. This world will come to pass. This is not the world that God intended for us eternally.

In this fallen world, we are to live for Christ for in Him we have life. What are we to do? Be humble before the Lord~ James 4:10. Preach the Gospel to all creation ~ Mark 16:15. That is our work. For there are no godly works we can do in a fallen world. Any such works we deem right or righteous are works of the flesh; even if done with good intentions as in your own choosing to do what is right in your own eyes. Woe to those who do right in their own eyes ~ Isaiah 5:21.

Who are those who do right in their own eyes? They are those who like to say "I always try to do the 'right' thing! I helped that person, man/woman, I prayed for him/her/ them, I gave to that group, I donated clothes to those people and children, I served in the soup kitchen, I sent money and food, I go to that church and give to that church, I support that party because they really know what's going on and what to do... These people with good intentions fail to realize that - Without Jesus Christ we are but filthy rags~ Isaiah 64:6. It is not about what you as 'I' can do. Nor is it about what we can do. It is what Jesus Christ did and continues to do in us.

Remember, because, this is a fallen world, there are no works that we can do to save it or to save ourselves in it. It is only by Jesus Christ who died for us that we have eternal life, Give Thanks and Praise to the Lord!

One can ask why didn't God just leave this fallen world by the wayside and start again with another. God's attributes are: justice, love, mercy and grace; which, were all in question and God had to prove that those attributes are true always in all situations (even in a fallen world) and do not nor never will contradict one another.

"For everything in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--comes not from the Father but from the world" ~ 1 John 2:16.
