When a man/woman is born again in Jesus Christ, pursuing the flesh is no
longer desired. There can be no argument against a fleshly person for
they are not yet born again, for they are in darkness. Arguing with them about their sin means
that you yourself are still in the flesh, and still in darkness.
A born again Christian has
open arms to receive such persons in hopes of (if you are born again,
their sin could not touch you...make you unclean) bringing them into the Light, closer
to Jesus Christ. How? By preaching to them the Gospel - the
Word of God. Jesus came for sinners to show Satan who is in this world
that only God can redeem sinners and upon receiving His redemption one
is born again and understands and embraces what Jesus said "Go and sin
no more". In this command, we are made a new creation in Christ, we have
been renewed, given the inner strength to overcome sin and to walk
upright in the Light. If you are born again, then you have been
commanded to preach the Gospel for many are yet unborn.
What
does it mean to pursue the sins of the flesh: physical, material and
intellectual and all worldly things? It means to live in the flesh,
desire the flesh, lust after it love it and hate it. Yes, it is the
pursuit of the flesh that drives hate and grows up the darkness... people
divorce hating their ex-spouse (pursuit of the flesh) people want to
attack or punish others hating them for appearing to be happier or
somehow better/well off, hating those that seem smarter or wiser, or
appear better looking or belong to a group with the right label and so
people are unhappy because they see themselves ugly, useless, sick,
aging, outcast, (unhappy people as well as happy people are in pursuit
of the flesh - Jesus promises only joy and peace).
Haters are people who live in the darkness of
the flesh and worldly things. They go after others' sin- flesh like
vultures, in the news media, in television shows, in public spaces and
now in places of worship. They are people who want more money for the
job they do or are driven to climb the ladder of success at others
expense (pursuit of the flesh); they are people who want bigger houses
and newer cars and nicer clothes, and even better health care (pursuit
of the flesh) people who strive for credentials and positions of power
(pursuit of the flesh)... all this drives hate. Jesus Christ is not the
hater - those in flesh are and there are many. If Jesus hates anything
at all it is the sin of the flesh, He said, "Go and sin no more!" ~John
8:11
Jesus Christ is the Light of the World! In Him there is no darkness!
