Who in the World can be Saved? Multitudes, Multitudes in the Valley of Decions!

The disciples asked "who in the world can be saved?" Jesus looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But, with God everything is possible." Then Peter said to him, "We've given up everything to follow you. What will we get?" Jesus replied, "I assure you that when the world is made new and the Son of Man sits upon his glorious throne, you who have been my followers will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And, everyone who has given up houses, or brothers, or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life" ~ Matthew 19: 26-30.

The 3rd Commandment is ~ "Do not take the Lord God's name in vain." Do not claim to be mine when you are not... that is 'vain' as in vanity. That means, saying you are a Christian to look good in public. This is the difference between the 'wheat and the tears'.

This is a much more profound commandment that just being required not to swear in public or private in this fallen world. That can be and is forgivable... but pretending to be born again when you are not is pretending to be a Christian; especially if you would not give up your life, your job, your home, your property, or your position as an entitlement or even family (this does not mean to abandon family but to be able to let them go if they reject Christ) to follow him is not so forgivable. But the, who am I to judge as to who will be forgiven and who won't be. I am not to judge, but called to forgive the sinner.

Forgiveness is the most necessary attribute of the Christian because we know that Christ forgave and forgives. We know that we must forgive many times, seventy-seven times and maybe that is not enough ~ Matthew 18:21 Forgive as the Lord forgave ~ COL 3:13.

Who will be saved? Sinners! Jesus came for the sinner(1 Timothy 1:15) and that sinner is "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered" ~ Joel 2:32. They are those that follow the Lord Jesus Christ when He calls for they are those who hear His voice and call out His name! They will be/are the multitudes in the valley of decisions. And, they will know that the Lord is a refuge for His people ~ Joel 3:16.
