Harden NOT your heart... Hebrews 3:12-19

See to it, brothers/sisters, that none of you has a wicked heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God. But exhort one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.

We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly to the end the assurance we had at first. As it has been said:
“Today, if you hear His voice,
do not harden your hearts,
as you did in the rebellion.”

For who were the ones who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? And with whom was God angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would never enter His rest? Was it not to those who disobeyed? So we see that it was because of their unbelief that they were unable to enter.

We cannot enter into God's Peace and Rest if  we have a hard heart... one of unbelief, lack of trust, lack of forgiveness toward others, lack of mercy and compassion toward others. Why include lack of trust, forgiveness, mercy and compassion. If we lack in those, we demonstrate unbelief that God has control over all things in our lives here and now and especially eternally.

Essentially, we behave like Paul did before his transformation... we act like a zealot for the law and those who have a zeal for the law have a hard heart. Yes, the law was given to those Moses led out of Egypt to show them that the law was necessary so that they could see what they needed to become; God's own His chosen people. This was in preparation for the New Covenant and for His Kingdom.

Jesus Christ came into the world to fulfill the law that man could not nor ever measure up to let alone fulfill. Yet, we like Paul was...mistakenly think that we have to keep the law, uphold the law through the practice and preaching of the law. We have to bring justice, we have to make sure that everyone is doing what they are supposed to be doing according to the law... Wrong! We have a New Covenant with the Living God! Repent and harden NOT your heart!

This does not mean that we can now willingly break the law. It means we are no longer under condemnation of the law nor are we to condemn others. We are to forgive, to have mercy and compassion and to demonstrate that (to be salt and light) in order that souls are saved.

He is Risen...Hallelujah!

 Reading from John 1: 1-18

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

There came a man who was sent from God. His name was John. He came as a witness to testify about the Light, so that through him everyone might believe. He himself was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light.

The true Light who gives light to every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God.

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John testified concerning Him. He cried out, saying, “This is He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me.’”

From His fullness we have all received grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is at the Father’s side, has made Him known.

Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life. Truly, truly, I tell you, the hour is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so also He has granted the Son to have life in Himself. ~ John 5:24-26

JESUS IS CALLING ~ SARAH YOUNG

April 2, 2020

I have promised to meet all your needs according to My glorius riches. Your deepest, most constant need is for My Peace. I have planted Peace in the garden of your heart, where I live, but there are weeds growing there too: pride, worry, selfishness, unbelief. I am the Gardener, and I am working to rid your heart of those weeds.

I do My work in various ways. When you sit quietly with me, I shine the Light of My Presence directly into your heart. In this heavenly Light, Peace grows abundantly and weeds shrivel up. I also send trials into your life. When you trust Me in the midst of trouble, Peace flourishes and weeds die away. Thank Me for troublesome situations; the Peace they can produce far outweighs the trials you endure.

Philippians 4:19 and 2 COR 4:17.

Dear brothers and sisters in the body of Christ, let us never forget that the body of Christ (the church) is not made of brick and mortar but of the Word of God! Build up the church by sharing the Good News who is Jesus Christ!
