God needs nothing built by human hands...

We know that God needs nothing built by human hands... He is everything and owns everything as the Creator of all things seen and unseen. But, being made in His image, we have a desire to create. But, in a fallen world we must be wise about that activity so as to not become prideful which is sinful. So, the Lord asks us to make it our goal to live a quiet life, minding our own business and working with our hands ~ 1 Thessalonians 4:11. We cannot think that by our own works we are saved, but by His!

  3. Living a quiet life is the one thing that every born again Christian can do and must do wherever they are and whatever conditions they find themselves: in a mansion, in a hut,in an institution/hospital or in prison and anywhere from Russia to Timbuktu to the US. And, though we have a great commission it is not to be preached from the highest mountain so that anyone can boast. The Gospel can and should be shared quietly; so, that every man/woman comes to it in sincerity and in truth!

  4. Now, about the song... "Go tell it on the Mountain"; it does not mean to stand up there and preach showing yourself as the deliver. No! It means to spread the Gospel everywhere... there and over the hill and everywhere! Taking the Good News to people in the place where they are.

  5. The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us ~ Acts:17:24-27.

  7. Believing is work...its the only kind of work God requires because its the kind of work that is true for everyone wherever they are and whatever conditions they live in. In this way, all are equal before God and that means all are sinners in need of a Savior who is God Jesus Christ.
