Don’t worry… God sees you from beginning to end. He
has chosen you to love (For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he
has chosen you ~ 1 Thessalonians 1:4). No matter what you are going through …
He already knew about it. You see, God sees you from beginning to end in this
world and at the same time He sees you eternally in His Kingdom.
Indeed, we will have trouble in this fallen world just
like many others who in the past had trouble, even 'bad' trouble. Consider Jacob (he deceived his
brother, then ran away in order that Esau not kill him, then Jacob was deceived
by his uncle and married the wrong woman, and later in life suffered horrific
grief when he lost his favorite wife Rachel and son Joseph), and what about
Moses (set off in a basket as an infant down the river, then raised by
Egyptians, killed a man in cold blood, ran away into the desert, led a mob
through the desert years later and was still denied entry into the promised
land, King David lusted after a woman, killed her husband, was hunted down by
Saul for years, lost a few sons to sin and death)… these were men who did ‘bad’
things and yet God knew them and He knew their heart, which was that these men
would seek Him and answer His call to be with Him, to be devoted to His Kingdom
for all eternity.
There were women in the Bible who also did ‘bad/tricky’
things. Jacob’s mother Rebekah who convinced Jacob and orchestrated the
deception against his father Isaac. Esther kept her family background a secret
as her uncle instructed; a deception that eventually worked in their favor. Yet,
a deception it was. Tamar slept with her father in law to conceive twins.
This
‘trickster’
character, a woman who does these kinds of unorthodox things, seems to ensure
that God’s plans are carried out. Women also have the greater burden of
original sin, but they are saved through child birth. “And it was not Adam who
was deceived, but the woman who was deceived and fell into transgression. Women,
however, will be saved through
childbearing,
if
they continue
in
faith,
love,
and holiness,
with
~ 1 Timothy 2:14-15.
And, there were women of gentleness,
faith, love and holiness: Hannah, Ruth, Elizabeth, Mary, i.e. We know that in this
world we will have trouble and that God will have mercy on whom He wants to
have mercy. This doesn’t mean that those who are His can run around and do
whatever they want… that’s tempting God ~ Luke 4:12. We will have trouble (John
16:33) but know that God knew you while yet in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah
1:5), He knows every hair on your head (Luke 12:7) and all the troubles that
will come upon you in this fallen world, the Lord God is with you through it
all (Philippians 4:13). He has a Hedge of protection around us (Job 1:10)… even
when it does not seem like it.
Yes, in Job, the one place in the Bible where Satan is
actually right, Satan said, "Have you not put a hedge of protection around
him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his
hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land ~ Job 1:10
So, don’t worry. So do not worry, saying, 'What shall
we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' Matthew 6:31. “So
don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s
trouble is enough for today. Matthew 6:34. But even if you suffer for doing
what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid… 1 Peter
3:14.
You see folks, the world cannot receive Him, because
it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you
and will be in you ~ John 14:17
He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us ~ 2 COR 1:4.

1 Corinthians
1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Do Not Worry
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.…Matthew 6:27-29.
