Yes, every human being (created in the image of God) that does not worship the Lord God Jesus Christ the Creator of heaven and earth, worships something else whether they think so or not. The problem is that not all paths lead to salvation and eternal life. Not all paths of worship are acceptable to God our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Remember, His thoughts, His plans are not ours, His are greater than ours. God wants worshipers before He wants workers. Our work is only acceptable to God if our worship is acceptable. ~ A Reflection on the writing of A.W. Tozer
And so what manner of worship can we offer to the King eternal? In Isaiah, you can read in the sixth chapter, an account of rapturous worship. "I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory.” Isaiah 6:1-3.
Sing praises to the Lord God...
Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world ~ Isaiah 12:5.
Psalm 146:2-8.
I will praise the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Do not put your trust in princes,
in human beings, who cannot save.
When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;
on that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord their God.
He is the Maker of heaven and earth,
the sea, and everything in them—
he remains faithful forever.
He upholds the cause of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets prisoners free,
the Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
the Lord loves the righteous.
Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of the way you live, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 1:12.
ReplyDeleteWorship of the Creator ~ The twenty-four elders fall down before the One seated on the throne, and they worship Him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things; by Your will they exist, and came to be.” ~ Rev 4:10-11.
ReplyDelete"Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the LORD is good; His loving kindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations". ~ Psalm 100:3-5.
